How we fact-check

• We check a claim against the primary source first — the official announcement, filing, or interview it came from.
• For second-hand reports, we look for a second reputable outlet reporting the same, and we name both in the story's sources line.
• When a claim comes from a single unconfirmed source, it is published as a rumor with the sourcing stated plainly.
• Stories are reviewed by an editor before publication; breaking items are marked clearly when details are still developing.

Rumor-labeling policy
